Death driver in club attack

A MAN facing jail for killing a trainee teacher by dangerous driving assaulted a clubber and left him in hospital on his last night of freedom, a court has heard.

David Nisbet, 22, was on a night out in the Karma club in Lothian Road in April last year which ended with him dislocating Jamie Angus’ cheekbone and putting him in hospital.

At the city’s Sheriff Court yesterday, Nisbet, who is serving five years and eight months for the dangerous driving offence, was jailed for six months, to run consecutively to the existing sentence.
