Dedicated Jason wins study prize

The building services group Arthur McKay has sponsored an award for an outstanding student at this year’s graduation ceremony at Jewel & Esk College.

The firm’s networks division gives the computer networking award to those students who have not only stood out academically, but also made a significant contribution to the course.

Jason Huth, a mature student who enrolled with the college in 2008, was this year’s award recipient, a unanimous choice from all staff members.

They noted his dedication to the course, excelling in all aspects despite having extra family commitments outside college.

Dave McLean, head of network operations at Arthur McKay, said: “Students like Jason are exactly what the next generation of computer networking needs and we are delighted to be able to honour Jason and his educational achievements with this award.”
