Dog coaxes canine friend out of drain
Archie the three-year-old terrier ran up a 12-inch wide drainpipe in pursuit of a rabbit at Fauldhouse Golf Course, West Lothian, at around 6.50pm yesterday.
When he failed to emerge, his owner feared he had become trapped and called Lothian and Borders Fire and Rescue Service.

Hide AdFirefighters couldn’t coax Archie out and began digging around the drainpipe in an effort to free him.
However, when the owner’s friend arrived with his own terrier the firefighters’ formulated a new plan.
They decided to send the second dog up the drainpipe to tempt Archie out, and a short time later both dogs emerged unharmed.
