Drink-driver in 18-month ban

A CAFE owner who smashed into the back of a car while three times over the legal alcohol limit has been banned from driving for 18 months.

Russian national Irya Milligan, 50, was said to have drunk alcohol before driving home as a way of coping with an extremely stressful day.

Livingston Sheriff Court was told that she failed a roadside breath test then failed a second test at Livingston Police 
Station.

Milligan. who lives in Bathgate, West Lothian, pleaded guilty to driving while under the influence of alcohol.

Andy Aitken, defending said: “She’d started to consume alcohol before driving under the influence.” She was fined £666 and banned from driving for 18 months.
