Driver hurt as truck flips on roundabout

A LORRY driver required treatment from paramedics after his vehicle overturned and shed its load at a roundabout at Hermiston Gait.

Around a tonne of aluminium scrap – believed to be remnants of air conditioner units – spilled on to the road after the lorry toppled over at 3.20pm yesterday. The road into the adjacent retail park was closed, with police diverting rush-hour traffic into Sighthill Industrial Estate.
