Duo’s swim raises £3000

TWO plucky fundraisers braved jellyfish and the freezing waters of the Forth to net £3000 for Leuchie House in East Lothian.

Margo Appleby and Meg Maitland swam three miles from the Bass Rock to North Berwick Harbour in open water to help fill the coffers of Leuchie Short Break Care.

The charity provides support for people with conditions such as Parkinson’s, Huntington’s, MS, Motor Neurone Disease, stroke and spinal injuries.
