Eatery hours bid snubbed

A SEAFOOD restaurant bidding for a 3am licence has received a raft of objections from local residents and politicians, including former Chancellor Alistair Darling.

Tian Tian Seafood Harbour in Fountainbridge had applied for extended opening hours throughout the week to cater for late diners but its application could be in doubt following a string of objections.

Mr Darling, Edinburgh South West MP, told of constituents’ concerns at being “subjected to considerable nuisance as a result of the operation of this restaurant”.

Jim Eadie MSP said several complaints arose from karaoke and general comings and goings.
