Edinburgh and Lothians flood alert
FORECASTERS have warned residents to ‘be prepared’ for flooding.
The Scottish Environment Protection Agency (SEPA) has issued an updated flood alert for Edinburgh and Lothians.
Met Office forecasters say there will be some torrential rainfall during the day and some areas could see 50mm to 75mm of rain.
There is a continuing risk of surface water flooding due to this intense rainfall.
The risk from flooding is expected to lessen during the afternoon as the rain starts to ease.
