The two youngest children still lived at home with their mother in Leith when the tragedy happened.

Ms Telfer who worked at HM Revenue and Customs, has been described as having ‘her whole life ahead of her’ and ‘so much to look forward to’ having just received news that she would be expecting a fifth grandchild in 2021.

“Amanda was an amazing nana, mother, auntie, sister, daughter, girlfriend and friend to everyone who knew her.

“At 49 she had her whole life ahead of her, having welcomed her newest grandson just two weeks ago and with the exciting news of another grandchild due next year the whole family had so much to look forward to.”

In honour of the ‘amazing nana’ Ms Snee has set up a Go Fund Me page aiming to raise £15,000 to support the grieving family as they start the painful task of organising a funeral for their mum.

The money will also be used to help the youngest two children who were still financially dependent on their mother.

Ms Snee said: “Their lives have been changed forever with this heartbreaking news. Overnight they have suddenly found themselves having to deal with finances and funeral costs that could never have ever been anticipated.”

The Go Fund Me page launched yesterday morning and has already raised over £5000.
