Edinburgh set for new wine cafe
Nino Caruso and Andrea Zecchino, the owners of Veeno in Rose Street, said the venture would offer wines sourced from their family vineyard in Sicily, as well as social events and tastings.
Cold meat cuts, breads, cheeses and a range of other foods will also be imported directly from Italy.

The company’s founders first met in Manchester in 2013 and decided to launch a new chain.
Mr Caruso, co-founder and director of Veeno, said: “We’re delighted to be introducing the concept of Aperitivo to Edinburgh and it is an exciting leap as we cross the border into Scotland.
“Our current venues have really created a buzz and we feel that Scotland is really missing out.”
Veeno plans to open 80 sites across the UK by 2019.
