Edinburgh: The city that never sleeps

THE Capital is increasingly a 24-hour city, with McDonald’s just one of a growing number of firms offering services and products round the clock.

The trend towards all day and night food shopping is well established. Many major supermarket chains – from Asda to Tesco to Scotmid - now open 24/7 at sites across Edinburgh.

Gyms are also becoming a feature of the city that never sleeps. Pure Gym offers 24-hour weights, rowing machines and cross trainers at three Edinburgh sites to fitness fanatics.

Even gambling is becoming a round- the-clock business.
