Edinburgh University heart scientists granted charity cash boost

HEART scientists at Edinburgh University have been given a six-figure grant by a charity.

The British Heart Foundation handed over £260,000 to researchers as part of £1.5 million worth of handouts across Scotland.

Professor Jeremy Pearson, associate medical director at the charity, said: “We are delighted to announce this award.

“This research is an excellent example of the life-saving science the BHF funds. The team at the university are a fantastic example.”
