Edinburgh Zoo closed after power cut hits Capital

Edinburgh Zoo has closed for the rest of the day after a power cut affected several areas of the Capital.

The zoo in Corstophine announced the closure at 3pm this afternoon.

In a tweet, they wrote: “We will keep everyone updated and our team will be in touch with anyone who has pre-booked to rearrange your visit.”

The power cut, which lasted two hours, affected addresses in the EH12 district but suppliers said electricity has now been restored to properties affected.
