Elderly woman saved from burning Fountainbridge flat by firefighters

The fire broke out around 2am.

An elderly woman has been saved from a burning flat in Fountainbridge by firefighters.

Crews were called to the fire in a tenement on Keir Street shortly after 2am on Friday.

Fire fighters walked the woman to safety, and she was treated at the scene by an ambulance.

She did not require hospital treatment.
