Earlier in the week, pictures were shared widely on social media of a deer bounding along Morningside Road.

Now, the adorable sight of swans and their cygnets nesting and gliding across the Water of Leith has been captured.

The swans and their cygnets were seen in the Water of Leith.

Mike Wade, a reporter for The Times, posted his photographs of the swans and their young on Friday with the caption: “Leith arrivals.”

The swans were spotted nesting and swimming under the Commercial Street bridge by The Shore in Leith.
