Equestrian rider Jill shows up well with successful run

YOUNG equestrian star Jill Slight has been riding high after a number of successful qualifiers on her show hunter pony, Seatshill Little Rogue.

The 18-year-old, who is a pupil at Loretto School, qualified for the Royal International Horse Show at the British Show Pony Society and recently won her class at the first Horse of the Year Show at the Midland Counties Show.

Jill has also built up a great relationship with her new intermediate worker, Mystery Morn.

The pair recently competed in their second Royal International Qualifier at Baston, Lincolnshire, where they won. The talented duo have their first Horse of the Year Show qualifier at the Royal Highland Show this weekend.

Jonathan Hewat, director of external affairs at Loretto School, said: “Jill is a real talent. She has shown great determination and skill.

“She is very enthusiastic about the sport and it is great to hear about her achievements.”
