Female GPs in flexibility call

THE NHS should develop more flexible working patterns in response to the increasing number of female doctors.

The Royal College of Physicians of Edinburgh (RCPE) is calling on the NHS to adapt to a growing female workforce.

At a conference in the Capital today, a discussion will be held into the practical challenges resulting from a 37 per cent increase in female doctors since 2001 and an eight per cent decrease in male counterparts.
