Firm steaking claim on eatery

A GOURMET steakhouse where prime cuts of meat can be cooked up at diners’ tables opens at a city venue next month.

Steak @ No.12 replaces the Green Room club and gig space at No 12 Picardy Place and is set to create up to 40 jobs.

Jason Wright, former head chef at Ondine seafood restaurant on George IV Bridge, has been recruited to spearhead the project and will develop its menu alongside Capital chef Mark Greenaway.

Barrie Brown, managing director of Brown Taylor Management, said: “We have a wonderful fine dining restaurant at No.12 with Mark Greenaway and now we see an opportunity to develop a space next door following our efforts at winning Scotland’s Most Stylish Restaurant at the 2011 Scottish Style Awards”.
