Foreigners buy city property

GROWING numbers of foreigners wanting to settle in the UK are buying up properties in the Capital.

Estate agents who have reported an increase in the number of top-end properties being snapped up by international buyers credit the city’s cultural scene, financial institutions, high-quality schools, universities and even its proximity to the Whisky Trail as reasons for the surge of interest.

Properties have been sold to Russians, Chinese, South Africans, Kenyans, Americans and people from Singapore and Japan.
