Go-ahead for town revamp

A £3.3 MILLION revamp of Dalkeith High Street has been given the go-ahead by councillors in Midlothian.

The improvement project, which will see the re-paving of Jarnac Court among other work, is now in the third year of a five-year refurbishment and renovation programme in the town centre.

All work is expected to be completed by July 2014 and has been funded through the Dalkeith High Street Improvements project, the Dalkeith Heritage Townscape Initiative and Conservation Area Regeneration Scheme.
