Graduating to a new base

MORE than 100 former students from around the world have returned to the Capital to mark the end of 30 years of teaching at an Edinburgh Napier campus.

Graduates of the university’s photography and film courses gathered at the Marchmont Campus to take part in a farewell, as current staff and students prepare to leave the site.

The building on Marchmont Road is closing as part of the university’s redevelopment plans, which will see courses moved to the Merchiston campus in the new year.

Students travelled from as far afield as Norway, Spain and the United States with prints of their work to hang in an exhibition, which will take place at Merchiston.

The images have also been collated to form a special 80-page book which was given to each graduate as a memento.
