Grassmarket lights up for shoppers
The Grassmarket is being lit up for Christmas, as Old Town becomes a winter wonderland thanks to a lightshow projected onto the buildings.
The move is part of a drive to lure festive shoppers back into the historic district.
Organisers Mclcreate and Edinburgh Arts Collective Projector Club are hosting the 3D lights on the corner of Victoria Street and the Grassmarket tonight, and on Thursday December 18.
Businesses have also unveiled dazzling Christmas trees outside their shops to add to the festive spectacle.
