Healthy set of winners

THREE health professionals and a home visit team from the Lothians have been presented with a national award at the Scottish Health Awards 2011.

Sick Kids hospital spinal surgeon Dr Thanos Tsirikos and St John’s Hospital’s mother and baby unit charge nurse Sharon McMenemy were acknowledged. ERI cardiologist Dr Nicholas Mills and the health board’s intensive home treatment teams were all praised for their contribution to healthcare at the Edinburgh event.
