Hearts freeze season-ticket prices for 2016/17

Season-ticket prices at Tynecastle are to be frozen for season 2016/17 as a reward for Hearts supporters.

The club have announced that there will be no increase after fans packed the stadium for every home game this season.

Backing from more than 16,000 followers at each home game has helped the Edinburgh club qualify for Europe, and owner Ann Budge has decided not to increase season ticket costs as a ‘thank you’.

A statement on the Hearts website read: “The club is pleased to announce that 2016/17 season tickets will go on sale in the week beginning May 9, 2016.

“The loyal support of our fans has ensured record numbers of season tickets sold in this campaign and underpinned many sold-out games. As a thank you for this incredible support, season ticket prices for season 2016/17 will be frozen at this season’s (2015/16) rates.

“We have listened to fans in setting our pricing strategy and, although current capacity limits what we can do this season, we are making a start in addressing key points such as youth pricing. We will have greater scope to do more to support the fans of the future when the new stand is in place.

“Further information will be provided over the course of the next two weeks.”
