House raids suspects held

SIX people have been charged with carrying out nearly 30 housebreakings in east Edinburgh following a police operation targeting burglars.

Two adults, aged 17 and 35, and four under-16s have been charged with 28 housebreakings in the area, and reports have been sent to the procurator fiscal and the Children’s Reporter.

A police spokeswoman said: “The operation will continue to run and police are conducting high-visibility patrols.”
