Hundreds pay their respects across Capital
Hundreds of people paid their respects to those who died serving their country at a Remembrance Sunday event on the Royal Mile.
Politicians, veterans and serving personnel took part in a ceremony at the Stone of Remembrance on the Royal Mile, where First Minister Alex Salmond laid a wreath on behalf of the people of Scotland.
A two-minute silence was signalled with the firing of the Castle gun followed by a rendition of The Last Post and The Flowers of the Forest and a service at St Giles’ Cathedral.
There was also a strong turnout at Grosvenor Street, the site Hearts chose to hold its event this year, close to where the Heart of Midlothian war memorial usually stands.
