Naomi became involved in drug abuse and her erratic lifestyle led to her becoming homeless before joining programmes run by the trust.

She said: “Understanding my own behaviour opened up a new way of deciding what choices to make. I have learned so much about myself throughout my journey with the trust.”

Heather Gray, director of
the Prince’s Trust Scotland, said: “Each of the shortlisted young people should be immensely proud of their achievements.

“Many have overcome very significant barriers but are now in a position where they can look forward to a fulfilling and happy future.

“They are all excellent examples of how outstanding young people can be given the right support and opportunity.”
