Kitten found at Highland Show is rehomed

A TINY kitten found at the Royal Highland Show after someone mistook her cries for a mobile phone ringtone has been rehomed.

The four-week-old kitten was handed in to staff at the Scottish SPCA stand after a member of the public found her sitting on top of a pallet, crying for her mother.

The man explained he had heard the kitten’s cries and initially thought it was a mobile phone ringing, but when he went to investigate he found the animal.

The kitten was initially cared for at the charity’s Edinburgh and Lothians Animal Rescue and Rehoming Centre at Balerno, where staff named her Annie. She was later transferred to the Lanarkshire
Centre.

She has now been rehomed with a family in Airdrie.
