Since completing an HNC in Beauty Therapy at Telford College in 2000, Lauren has gone on to do professional make up for celebrities including actresses Keira Knightley, Tilda Swinton and Sienna Miller, as well as singers Rihanna and Pixie Lott, and model Claudia Schiffer.
The Academy currently offers two six-week courses – Introduction to Make-up Artistry and Introduction to Editorial Make-up Artistry – which are designed to introduce students to the finer details of make-up artistry.

Hide AdDespite regularly being in the company of celebrities, Lauren doesn’t allow nerves to get the better of her.
“I have never been nervous; I’m always more interested in doing the make-up,” she said.
“I’m just the same person with them as I am with my friends, and that’s always worked well for me.

“Kate Moss is one of my idols and she’s somebody who I got really excited about, and I thought maybe it would possibly be a bit nerve-wracking seeing her, but I you just need to remember they’re like you and I.
“I’ve never been in a situation where I’ve been shaking or not in control. As soon as you look like you’re not in control, they are not going to trust you.”

Hide AdLauren also did Kate Middleton’s make-up for the charity fashion show at St Andrews University in 2002, at which she wore the see-through dress which is said to have caught the eye of Prince William.
“Kate was lovely and dead chatty,” Lauren said.
The Introduction to Make-up Artistry and Introduction to Editorial Make-up Artistry courses cost £1200 and £1500 respectively.
