Lottery joy for Edinburgh resident

One lucky resident in Edinburgh is celebrating after scooping a lottery win - TWICE.

Thanks to playing with two tickets, the Silverknowes Crescent resident doubled their prize and will find an extra £2,000 in their bank account.

The winner’s postcode, EH4 5JE, was drawn as the winner of the lottery’s daily prize.

People’s Postcode Lottery Danyl Johnson said: “Congratulations to our player in Edinburgh who picked up a prize today - I hope they thoroughly enjoy spending their windfall.”

The People’s Postcode Lottery has supported causes including Caring in Craigmillar, which was awarded £15,000 last year to create a dementia friendly garden.

A minimum of 32 per cent of ticket sales goes directly to charities and players of People’s Postcode Lottery have raised £301 million to date for 4,000 good causes across Great Britain and internationally.
