Love Burns? You’ll like this

Robert Burns’ songs have been given a new treatment by a North Berwick vocalist.

Zoë Moskal Guy, 19, and Edinburgh-based guitarist Alan Coady, are to launch their CD – Love Burns – on Sunday.

It follows the pair’s successful appearance at the 2009 Homecoming concert in St Mary’s Haddington.

Eight of Burns’ songs are on the CD, including Ae Fond Kiss, Dainty Davie and The Lea Rig.

Also included are the Irish ballad, She Moved Through The Fair which Alan and Zoë performed at the Meadows Festival this summer, two original guitar pieces by Alan, and his arrangement of Song Composed in August.

The Sick Kids Friends Foundation and the Robert Burns Birthplace Museum will each receive £1 from every copy of the album sold.
