Make date for market

A FLAVOUR of what Midlothian’s food producers have to offer is coming to the county’s only farmers’ market.

Howgate Country Market will play host to stalls including fresh homemade baking, free-range eggs, organic beef, lamb and pork, chutneys and jams.

Handmade jewellery, soaps, cards, gifts, pictures and books will also be on sale. Breakfast will be served at the event, to be held at Howgate Village Hall from 9.30am to 1pm on Saturday, September 3.
