Man dies in hospital after Edinburgh road crash
A 65-year-old man has died in hospital almost two weeks after being injured in a road accident in Edinburgh.

The crash occurred on Saturday September 17 at around 11.10am on Newcraighall Road, opposite the fire station.

A black Mazda MX5 travelling eastbound collided with a black Hyundai at a set of traffic lights.

The driver of the Mazda was taken to the Queen Elizabeth Hospital in Glasgow, where he died on Wednesday.

Sergeant Brian Smith said: “This collision sadly resulted in the death of a man and we are eager to gather as much information as possible.

“Anyone who was on Newcraighall Road on Saturday September 17 at around 11am and saw either vehicle is asked to get in touch with us immediately.”
