Man’s jaw is broken after argument ends in violence

A MAN was left with a broken jaw after exchanging words with a couple on Gorgie Road.

The 23-year-old was punched in the face in the incident near the Laich Pub at around 12.25am on Sunday after becoming embroiled in an argument with a man and a woman. He taken to St John’s Hospital for treatment.

The first suspect is described as a male in a white T-shirt. He had short blond hair. The second suspect is described as a female with light-coloured hair.

A police spokesman said: “The victim has suffered serious injury to his jaw and we are now carrying out local inquiries to identify the man responsible and the woman who was also involved in the argument.

“We would be keen to hear from anyone who can help identify the suspects or who has any other information.”
