Medical centre extension unveiled by health board
The two purpose-built consultation rooms at Penicuik Medical Practice were officially unveiled by NHS Lothian chairman Dr Charles Winstanley, while work has also taken place on a room for minor surgery and a revamped reception area.
It is the latest investment made in the area by the health board, which opened a new community hospital in Dalkeith last year. By creating a resource for minor surgery, health chiefs said it would save some patients having to travel into Edinburgh for certain procedures.
