Midnight at the Oasis theme planned for city’s MoonWalk

THIS year’s MoonWalk will have a Midnight at the Oasis theme.

The event is set to take place on June 9, starting in Inverleith Park, with both half marathon and full marathon distances on offer.

Both men and women, many in brightly decorated bras, are expected to take part to raise money for breast cancer grant-making charity Walk the Walk.

Since the first MoonWalk Edinburgh in 2006, the event has seen more than 60,000 walkers raise more than £14 million. Organiser and founder Nina Barough said: “The MoonWalk is a very special night, not only for all the wonderful Scottish energy that unites us in this common bond, but I love and cherish the fact that we are making such a difference to the lives of so many people in Scotland with cancer.

“It really is a night when everybody can help to make a difference. It is probably the most dynamic and awe-inspiring night that you could experience.”
