Missing worker Blackpool lead

A MAN who vanished after calling in sick for work more than six weeks ago is believed to be in the Blackpool area, police have said.

Ian Smith was last seen at his workplace in Rose Street on December 28 last year.

The 30-year-old called in sick the next day, and has not been in contact with family or friends since. He is described as 5ft 11in, stocky, with red hair.

A police spokesman said: “We are appealing for any information that can help us trace him.”
