Museums up for award

TWO museums in the Capital are up for a top European award after scoring highly in “mystery visits”.

The National Museum of Scotland and the Scottish National Portrait Gallery have both been nominated to be European Museum of the Year following the visits. They will be judged on categories including atmosphere, presentation, a creative approach to education and social responsibility.

The results will be announced in May.
