New homes to be built

AN affordable housing development of nearly 20 new homes is set to be built in a Lothian town under plans put forward by council chiefs.

Officials from East Lothian Council have drawn up proposals to create the fresh development on land at Goose Green Stables in Goose Green Crescent, Musselburgh.

The local authority’s plans, which were submitted for consideration last month, call for 14 cottage flats, four semi-detached houses and a bungalow to be built for affordable housing.
