Nominate a health hero

Nominations for the Scottish Health Awards 2011 are being sought from people across the Lothians.

The deadline is September 12 and organisers say applications are flooding in but many more healthcare professionals and teams deserve to be celebrated.

This year is the tenth anniversary of the awards and the judges are once again looking for Scotland’s finest NHS workers and volunteers to be recognised at an award ceremony.

Alan Boyter, director of human resources and organisational development, NHS Lothian, said: “By nominating an individual, or team, you help us recognise unsung heroes.”
