Nominate a special someone to spend a day on the Royal Yacht Britannia

The search is on to find a very special 90-year-old to be treated like royalty for the day aboard the Royal Yacht Britannia in Edinburgh '“ and we're asking Evening News readers to nominate someone they think deserves to be treated like a king or a queen.

The winner will be chauffer driven, with their guest, to the Royal Yacht Britannia. On arrival, they will be welcomed on the red carpet by our guides and presented with a bouquet of flowers. They will then step aboard the Royal Yacht via the Royal Brow – the entrance reserved for Her Majesty and the royal family. Britannia’s official photographer will also be there to capture their day.

The lucky winner and their guest will be treated to a personal guided tour of the yacht which will be followed by a Champagne lunch, before they are presented with a special gift as a memento of the day.

Entrants must be 90 at the time of the Queen’s official birthday on June 11 and must be resident in Edinburgh, the Lothians or Fife. Two runners-up will receive complimentary tickets for two to visit Britannia any time this year.
