The Green Insurance Company and Eco-Schools Scotland, which have been working in partnership since August 2010, hosted the ceremony.

Part of Keep Scotland Beautiful, Eco-Schools Scotland awards Green Flag status to nurseries and schools across the country that set up a variety of environmental projects.

Hailesland Child and Family Centre, which offers support to families with children under the age of five, was commended by judges for its range of environmentally-friendly activities, including eco developments in the nursery, a sensory trail, greenhouse, willow tunnel and raised planter, and class lessons based around the environment.
