OAP trapped as bus stuck under bridge

A PENSIONER suffered facial injuries after a double-decker bus got trapped under a bridge.

The First bus collided with the railway bridge next to Murrayfield Stadium on Roseburn Street at around 3pm yesterday. A 74-year-old man was trapped on the upper deck, with firefighters having to remove seats to free him. He suffered cuts to his face and was taken to the ERI.

All the other passengers managed to get off the bus themselves. The driver, who was suffering from slight shock, was checked over at the scene but did not require hospital treatment.
