One for the road

Wardie Primary School pupil Rory Jackson, 11, and his mum Julie tucked into a free breakfast, as part of a deal to encourage kids and their parents to cycle from school.

More than 200 children and parents from Wardie Primary School in Edinburgh are expected to ride their bikes to school to claim a free ‘Biker’s Breakfast’. The school has been working with UK charity Sustrans Scotland to encourage more children to cycle to school.

To celebrate the project and to get the wheels in motion for spring, every pupil and parent who cycles to school will receive a free breakfast of croissants, fruit, yoghurt and juice.
