Opera work to shine on Lothian tour
Scottish Opera’s inaugural composer in residence has revised Dance ‘til the Sun Sets especially for the annual 15-date tour.

Hide AdIt will be performed alongside arias and ensembles from operas including Bizet’s Carmen, Mozart’s Don Giovanni and Puccini’s Madama Butterfly, as well as a sprinkling of lesser-known works from the likes of Rimsky-Korsakov’s Sadko and Britten’s Paul Bunyan.
The tour will visit the Howden Park Centre in Livingston on January 31 at 7.30pm, and Musselburgh’s Brunton Theatre on March 3 at 7.30pm.
In charge of picking the Opera Highlights programme for more than a decade, Scottish Opera’s head of music, Derek Clark, will be at the helm once again.
