Take care, Trace
Tracey Emin, at 49, at last seems to have got her act together. “I never want to be vulnerable again,” she’s saying. “I don’t want to be hurt again. The depression, I can’t stand it. Companionship. Trust. If I go into a new relationship again, those are the things I’m going to put at the front.
“I’ll tell you what it is as well. I will be on my own for ever. No-one is going to look after me.”
Do take care, Trace. Everything will turn out fine.
Afterwords . .
. . . it’s a Tommy Cooper gag dredged up by Nicholas Parsons. An old one but a good one: “My uncle was 83 and wanted to marry a girl of 19. The doctor said this could be fatal and my uncle said if she dies, she dies.”
Auld Nick, at an indestructible 88, has been talking about playing the Edinburgh Fringe yet again.
