It’s incredible how your evening can change in the flash of an eye and that is literally what happened to me the other night when bathing little baby Oryn.

Everything was going well then out of nowhere he slipped, falling forward and smacking his eye off the wooden bath shelf that lies across the bath.

Baby Oryn’s coronavirus scare makes me realise just how precious the NHS is – Ha...

There was blood everywhere and instantly I could see it was a trip to the Sick Kids for a few stitches.

We all piled in the car and made a fuss of the wee guy as he was clearly very upset. After a checkover and a good clean of his wound, he was given some very good treatment from two nurses to seal the deep cut.

After a few butterfly stitches and a mummy cuddle we were already to go home.

What a service – as per usual – and the staff were all delightful to Oryn. It’s a scary time to be going into hospital, with all the face masks and restrictions. However, the NHS staff really go above and beyond for the wee ones. You’re all truly amazing! Thank you so much from a very relieved mum and from little baby Oryn.
