If the Scottish public had anything to do with it Joe Biden would be a shoo-in. Edinburgh apparently has the highest level of support for the Democrat candidate of any city in the country.
According to the poll for Politico, more than 81 per cent of the population in the Scottish capital would support the former Vice-President, while only 19 per cent would back Trump.
Amongst prominent Scots who do actually have a say, it is similarly overwhelming with the US-based stars of stage and screen Brian Cox, Alan Cox and Kevin McKidd all publicly supporting Joe Biden.
