Adult-only flights - your views online
Claire A A Eadie
For every crying child there are 10 arsey adults causing havoc on flights. I’d take a bairn any day!
Daniel Masters
Would be fine for me if they charge a premium for the adult-only flights and make children’s tickets cheaper.

Hide AdHad one wee boy sat next to me on flight back from Turkey. He was lying across me when asleep and digging in his legs and arms. Why he wasn’t doing that on his mum’s lap I’ll never know. I should have said something but didn’t want to wake the wee laddie. The plane was packed so not much I could do.
Stephen Ellis
One person complains about a crying child on a plane so the airline has to consider an adult-only flight. When passengers complain about other passengers being drunk and disorderly and abusive nothing happens. I think the answer is, get a life. This story was actually on the TV news this morning, unbelievable!
Lorraine Harcus
I would rather have a plane full of children than a bunch of adults drinking.
Grace Scott
Learn to be tolerant. Not the first time I've had to endure a flight made terrible by drunken, offensive adults.

Hide AdThink of the child who may be suffering from earache, fear etc and parents are trying to coop under the eyes of all travellers. Not a pleasant time for them but grown ups act just as badly - drunk, snoring or just taking your space etc. Bad idea to have adult-only planes.
Rob Leonardsson
....with a smaller plane following full of the children? They would have a great party then!

I think I would prefer loads of babies and kids on a flight rather than adults, who often cause more bother than the kids.
Stephanie Ng
Fantastic! Can there be "adults with kids only" flights too, so I can not be stressed out by being with those who have forgotten what kids are like?
Ginny Blake
Entitled or dunk adults are much more of a problem.

Hide AdPeople are so offended and crying here. It’s just a suggestion of a type of service, such as adult-only hotels etc. It’s not suggested flights completely ban kids, it’s merely an additional service, which I’m sure airlines would charge more for, so they’re gonna be happy enough.
Sylvia Smith
I don’t mind a child crying on the plane. I feel sorry for the parents trying to keep a child amused for hours in a confined spot. I’ve been there and it’s exhausting.
Jamie Gordon
Give the bairns a shot of flying the plane - they might stop greeting!
Ellen Burnside Deadman
Depends the age of the child. If it's a baby they can't help it.
James Rees
Wholeheartedly behind it.

Hide AdAdults can be worse in my experience. Some of them just love to be heard.
Mark Richards
That's just as immature as the child. Grow up and be an adult – simples!
Paul Hepburn
Personally, I don't mind the kids, in fact I normally offer to help the stressed parents. Bu there are adult- only hotels and these are very popular, so why not adult-only flights etc?
Trefor Williams
Why not have designated sections on all flights for parents with ankle-biters? At the opposite end from those with little patience, perhaps?

Hide AdNothing worse than big fat adults who are too fat to stand in from the aisle when boarding.
Margaret Maggie Brown
The person complaining themselves was once a child. Get a life.
FS Bl
We were all a child once.
Davie Wood
Great idea....nae brats on board, or put them in with the luggage!
Jette Goldie
Take noise cancelling headphones.
Pearl Buchanan
Some adult behaviour is worse than any child I’ve seen on a plane.

Hide AdDrunk, pulling your seat, feet up in your space, moaning about where their luggage is. Take a kid anyday.
Scott Robertson
Don’t agree with separate flights but separate areas would be a good idea.
