Why does he refer to "Westminster cash"? Surely that money is made up of taxes from all four nations.
Pauline Morgan
This is why the covidiots won’t stay at home either. No unnecessary travelling.

Where will the clown be hiding?
Naomi MB
How about you keep him in England?
Catherine Dennington Fee
He should not be coming to Scotland I can't travel to Livingston to see my sister or could not go to see my other sister who has now died lonely, but you can all travel for stupid talks which can be done virtually. You don't have to meet up in person, and you wonder why the public are doing what they want. If you all have rights then more so us, the public. The public need to start getting their voice heard or this dictatorship will only get worse.
Margot Stewart
No question that the timing is unfortunate. Another few weeks and it would have coincided with Sturgeon's ignominious resignation.
Gene Lennox
This is why the country is confused, there different rules for different people. Lockdown should be for everyone.

Hide AdTravel to and from Scotland is prohibited under lockdown, so stay where you are. If he comes up then Police Scotland should arrest and charge him, just like they did with Margaret Ferrier.
Gordon Ward
What happened to stay home, save the NHS?
Craig Ronald
He's simply coming up to put wee Nippy in her place. Hopefully he tells her to stop concentrating on making Scotland a defenceless third world country and get on with the job in hand.
Lorraine Blyth
This visit is a waste of time and money. Makes a mockery of the “Don’t travel except for essential” reasons. Him trying to convince us we are better off shackled to Westminster is not essential.
Alex Monaghan
PM is very welcome.
Jamie Gordon
The way you could look at it is, how many people are travelling down to England and back up to Scotland every week for essential purposes like work, and they are allowed? So same thing really, is it not?

Hide AdSince he's allowed to travel, I think I will take my son to the park, since he's been stuck in for ages.
Tom Davidson
He is prime minister of the UK, like it or not. He is therefore entitled to come and speak to people here. Coming to Scotland is not as bad as letting Celtic go to Dubai.
Alan Gerrard
The fact that the visit of the UK PM is upsetting all the nationalists is one reason why I welcome his visit!
Pauline Travers
He should be stopped and returned back to where he belongs.
Janet Barnes Begbie
We are all supposed to be in lockdown. Why should Boris be any different? Totally no need for him to come to Scotland. Like many millions, I can’t go and visit my son who lives two miles away from me, so why should this clown be any different?

Hide AdSo when Boris comes it’s completely against the law, even though it’s part of his job people still go mental. But Sturgeon can travel back and forth from Glasgow when she has the choice to stay in Edinburgh. Her own MPs aren’t exactly following the rules very well either. Like him or not, he’s our prime minister.
Tracy Oyston
He shouldn't be coming to Scotland He is only giving Sturgeon and her followers ammunition for independence that most of Scotland doesn't welcome. Think of that before you travel up.
Graeme Somerville
Purely political, everyone can see that. The way Gove put it across, we should be grateful for his “leadership” (priceless) and basically bend the knee and accept the ramblings of a right wing, Old Etonian schoolboy... never!
Jacquie McLeish
According to Gove his visit poses no risk to public health. Neither does going to visit my family then, according to this logic. Lead by example.Thankfully I believe in the spirit of what we are being asked to do. Stay away bufoon Boris
